I'm sure you're wondering, why another Christian blog? Why another Christian voice? Well, simply put, I want to share the things that God has shared with me! This is as much an interactive blog as it is a journal of sorts of my experiences as a follower of Christ.
I have spent a lot of days overwhelmed by God's love, grace, and mercy. I've come to realize in my Christian walk that I am sustained by those things alone on a daily basis. There are times when the thought of God's love, grace, and mercy are so overwhelming and indescribable that I can hardly stand under the weight of it all! In those moments, I have "grace overload!" Sort of like a computer that is overloaded with data and ceases to function correctly.
Contemplating the immensity of God can feel like an overload but it's a good feeling and it does cause me to cease functioning in a way. I cease to function in my old ways and step into a new understanding and revelation of who my God is. You see, when you get overloaded by grace, you shrink in amazement and humility. It's only during those times of overload that you can begin to understand the greatness of God and how small you are in comparison; and how much He loves you and how you could never love Him as much as He loves you. These things help put a lot into perspective as you live out your day-to-day life. So, grace overload is good...it helps me to maintain perspective, helps me to remember who my God really is.
